Comfort Suites Clearwater - Dunedin

First time staying here and I definitely will return. This is my new Clearwater spot. Do I prefer to be right on the beach ⛱️ 🤔? Of course, but this is an excellent 2nd choice and well worth the $. You're over the bridge in just a minute. The staff was very friendly from the moment we pulled up and the rooms are newly renovated and very clean just like the breakfast bar. The only possible improvement I saw was cleaning the leaves out of the hot tub, but I can certainly understand how something that is probably not being utilized all the time can get overlooked. I survived 😁 Definitely recommend 👌

Clean rooms, great service, poor pullout bed, free wifi, 10-15 minutes from Clearwater beach, no consideration for dairy-free people at breakfast. Check in is a 3pm, checkout at 11am. There’s a pool, hot tub, and laundry room. The rooms were very clean, with a mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. The towels were nice, and free of hairs from previous guests (unlike other places I’ve stayed at). However, the pullout sofa bed was TERRIBLE and UNCOMFORTABLE. All the springs could be felt. The air filters were also overdue for a change. The service was great, from the moment the phone was answered. The attendant was the only person out of several hotels we called in the area—that was polite and friendly. The rest of the staff (front desk, food prep staff, etc.) we’re very kind and provides free homemade cookies upon entry. The breakfast bar was okay. There are NO DAIRY free options. They had one kind of scrambled eggs, and all of it had cheese. They also didn’t have any dairy free creamer or milk. If the eggs didn’t have cheese, then there would at least be a protein option for the lactose intolerant vegetarians who don’t want boiled eggs.

We had an amazing vacation experience staying at Comfort Suites. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Brian the manager is an amazing person he is so kind and friendly he really made our experience awesome! The room was clean, has a humid smell to it tho. The free breakfast bar was a huge plus with kids. The pool area was always clean, the hotel is clean and housekeeping cleans the rooms daily. We will stay here again in a heartbeat.
